Yes, You Can Use Art Storefronts with Your Existing Website

Want to leverage the power of Art Storefronts without giving up the hard work you put into your existing website? No problem.

Meet Bill: an artist.

Over the past few years, Bill has moved his website from Squarespace, to Wix, to Weebly, and finally to WordPress – and now he's finally happy with the design. He can't imagine parting ways with it.

He's put so much time into it – building his pages and blog posts. The idea of switching seems daunting and impractical.

The problem?

One of our features caught Bill's eye, so he started doing some research and realized a website built with Art Storefronts out-powers his own by a factor of 10. It would completely change the way he runs his art business, and would bring him into the future of selling art online.

But still, switching platforms again? He just doesn't have the time for it.

If you can relate to Bill, what you may not know is that this arrangement is actually not a problem.

You can keep your own website, and add (ie: "bolt-on") an Art Storefronts store to it.

You'll keep your design and all the work you put into it. What you add on is a massive upgrade to your collectors' buying experience, including dozens of art-selling features like Live Preview with Augmented Reality

You get the best of both worlds.  No compromises, no big decisions, just winning all around.

So how does it work?  You'll be surprised at how quick and simple it is.

First, you add a link in your navigation menu on your current website.  This should say “Shop Art”, and it directly links to your new store with Art Storefronts:

Or, you add a custom “call-to-action” button above your navigation menu:

You can even link to multiple destinations within your existing website. Check out this example from Humble Donkey Studio:

Button A links to their Art Storefronts store, while Button B links to a different, promotional products store, and Button C links to the Google Maps location of their brick and mortar gallery space.

Don't stress about which way to go – these are all viable options and are all being used with great results by current Art Storefronts customers.

So, how does the URL work?

Your Art Storefronts store will be on your custom domain.

For example, if your current website is “www.taylorfineart.com”, your ASF store can be “store.taylorfineart.com”.

This takes about one minute to set up, and our team will help you with it.

Yep, that's all there is to do on the technical side!

And there's more good news: once you have done this, you no longer need eCommerce store / shopping cart features from your existing website (because you are now buying a more powerful version of that functionality from Art Storefronts).

Kick back with your favorite drink and relish the moment as you take the incredibly satisfying step of downgrading to the absolute lowest-priced plan on your existing platform.

And that's all there is to it folks!

So, what's stopping you from giving your collectors the absolute best art-buying experience available? If you were anything like Bill, the answer is now "nothing".
