[new feature] Enhancements to Our Blogging Software

Functional and aesthetic updates to the Art Storefronts blogging software that will make your art blog more modern than ever.

Welcome to Blog 2.0!

We have made several key enhancements to our blogging software that we’re excited to reveal here.

These changes were made through a combination of customer feedback and our own ambitions for the blogging portion of the ASF software.

Here’s what we added:

1. WIDGETS

With widgets, your art blog is now more viable than ever – ready to be equipped with lead generation tools and other marketing plugins.

There are currently 2 default widgets available:

  • The Opt-In Widget allows your blog visitors to subscribe to your mailing list.
  • The Recent Posts Widget showcases more of your content – making it easy for your visitors to explore more of your content.

You are also able to create your own widgets with custom code.

2. A SIDEBAR

A new sidebar space to the left of your content will host your widgets.

This also decreases the width of the content area to the right, making the blog more visually modern and much more readable.

3. INCREASED FONT SIZE

Again, more readable, more modern.

4. SUBSCRIBE FUNCTIONALITY + EMAIL CONFIRMATION

All of which you have control over while editing the blog.

Effective and automated.

5. BILLBOARD CAPABILITY

Now you can show off a different huge, beautiful image at the top of every blog post.

SEE IT IN ACTION

Check out this artist blog for an example of these enhancements in action.

Overall, we feel these enhancements dramatically improve the user experience, and brings the software closer to the blog we use, the one you’re reading right now.

Our blogging software is for basic use – showing off your art in romantic blog posts, sharing write-ups on any events you’ll be attending, etc. For most on the platform, it will get the job done.

For the few serious and advanced content marketers on the platform, WordPress is still (and will always be) the superior choice.
